Who Am I?
COUNSELLOR
Lauren Hines
I graduated from a Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching and Counselling from Deakin University in 2015. I have a passion for supporting children, youth and adults through their experiences of family violence and supporting overall mental health and well-being. Through a client-centered approach, I support my clients to explore family violence, their identity, and to be empowered to have control in their own life by putting in safe boundaries. I aim to build resilience and coping strategies, particularly for young people, so that they can be mentally strong and overcome any obstacles that arise.
My experience includes having worked in Child Protection and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in case management and in therapeutic roles - including in a counselling role and team leader role for the family violence therapeutic team. I have been providing specific online and phone counselling since April 2020 and have had great success with engaging young people in online platforms through the use of interactive games and activities, narrative therapy, art therapy and talk therapy.
I look forward to meeting you in your free 30min consult.
